Plant Sale 2024 – Theresa Rooney of WCCO Smart Garden available to answer questions

Our own Theresa Rooney, Hennepin County Master Gardener for 24 years, will be on deck to answer your gardening questions at the Annual HCMG Plant Sale on May 18, 2024 at the Hopkins Pavilion.

You can hear Theresa on AM830 WCCO’s Smart Garden on Saturdays 8 – 9am about once a month. She has been sharing ideas, answering questions, and giving gardening advice on the air for the last 12 years. This show brings listeners the latest information on lawn and garden care.

Theresa is a lifelong gardener. She has a small “turf-free” yard/habitat in south Minneapolis where she practices permaculture and sustainable and regenerative gardening methods. Her yard is a National Wildlife Certified Habitat that she uses as her practice zone. She grows veggies, fruit, herbs and flowers and ornamental grasses.

She is the author of “The Guide to Humane Critter Control: Natural, Nontoxic Pest Solutions to Protect Your Yard and Garden.”
