The Hennepin County Master Gardener Plant Sale will have more than 2500 seedling of 60 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and flowering annuals that are MN Winners®.
Every year since 1982, Master Gardeners from all over Minnesota have put hundreds of varieties of different vegetables, herbs, and annuals to the test. In these trials, the winning plants outperformed the others in terms of flavor, disease resistance, insect tolerance, and productivity.
The best performers in their respective trials are designated MN Winners®, and we will carry many of them at the HCMG Plant Sale. This year we will have more than 2500 MN Winner® seedlings – including vegetables from broccoli to eggplant to zucchini, 15 different varieties of tomatoes, 9 varieties of peppers, 5 varieties of squash and much more. Our herbs will include the winning basil, dill, and cilantro varieties, and in the Annuals section, you’ll find alyssum, coleus and more.
All plants are affordably priced, and the proceeds help support the Master Gardener program in Hennepin County.
