| FreeFire and Ice – An Overview of How to Safely Preserve Foods by Drying and Freezing
Fire and Ice is an overview of safe drying (dehydrating) and freezing techniques. This introductory course is designed to provide participants with basic research-based knowledge and scientific resources on the basics of drying and freezing. This class is presented as step-by-step technique overviews and is guided by specific learning objectives, with a focus on safety. Participants will learn about the proper equipment, appropriate foods choices, prep and suitable recipes for these two methods of home preservation.
